Dr. Dan Wartinbee enjoys specializing in minimally invasive outpatient arthoscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, ankle and elbow. Commonly performed knee procedures include cartilage repair and removal, torn ligament repair and reconstruction and comprehensive treatment of knee arthritis. Shoulder procedures include arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and treatment of shoulder instability.

He also maintains a very active practice in total joint replacement including conservative hip resurfacing surgery and is interested in cartilage regeneration and transplantation surgery.

Dr. Wartinbee received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin with high honors in 1977, and completed the Orthopaedic Residency training program there in 1982. He has served as medical director and team physician for the Milwaukee Admirals hockey team for 7 years and volunteered as the team physician for the Homestead High School football team for many years.

Raised and educated in Milwaukee, Dr. Wartinbee continues to be very active in the medical community. He has served as President of the Medical College of Wisconsin Alumni Association. He currently is a member of the Medical College of Wisconsin Alumni Board, and serves as a clinical instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College.

Dr. Wartinbee is board certified and a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Academy of Sports Medicine. He has written articles and presented lectures on various Orthopaedic topics including meniscus tears of the knee, overuse injuries, shoulder injuries, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, rotator cuff tears of the shoulder, total joint replacements and hip resurfacing surgery.
